Chamonix on the Kia PV5
Chamonix is our slat bed layout.
The Chamonix is the more spacious of our two PV5 layouts. A pull-out double slat bed runs alongside a fixed kitchen and storage. In day mode the bed retracts to a slimmer side bench (2,000 × 650 mm) and the interior feels open and uncluttered. At night the slat bed extends to 1,700 × 1,050 mm, a comfortable double, and can be extended further to 2,000 mm if you need more length. There are no belted rear seats, so the trade-off is a more spacious interior in day mode. Many owners prefer it for the simplicity.

4. The base vehicle, bought separately
From around £34,936 after the £5,000 Plug-in Van Grant (Cargo Plus Long Range).
The heat pump (£750) and premium paint (£750) go on the Kia order at the start, not on the conversion. The vehicle is invoiced by Kia, not by us. See the Kia PV5 page for vehicle pricing and the recommended trim.
Your total = conversion + any add-ons + vehicle. As a guide, a Kia PV5 with the pop-top, a 4-berth, comes in from around £62,485 all in.

Compare with the Kia PV5 Mandalay
The Mandalay swaps the slat bed and side bench for a rock and roll bed and belted rear seats, giving you up to four belted travelling seats and the flexibility to use the van as a daily driver. Pick the Chamonix if you’d rather have the extra interior space and a slightly more generous bed. Pick the Mandalay if you sometimes carry rear passengers.
