The bench-seat layout in the most iconic camper we build, set up so you can sit back and look out through the Buzz's big rear windows. The one for slow mornings and long views, in the van that turns every head it passes.
The Chamonix is the design we’ve built on the Buzz from the start. A pull-out double slat bed sits alongside a fixed, fully-equipped kitchen and storage. In day mode the bed retracts to function as a bench seat; at night it extends to a double. The kitchen has an induction hob, a sink with cold water, and a compressor fridge. Belted seating is in the front only, two or three seats depending on configuration, with no belted rear seats. Add the Horizon pop-top and the Chamonix becomes a 4-berth, with two more sleeping up top.

This is a complete, working campervan, ready to camp: the pull-out double slat bed, full kitchen, habitation electrics, insulation, lining, flooring and lighting are all built in. Everything listed under What’s included comes as standard, at no extra cost.

Most customers add two side windows. We’ll talk through the right window configuration for how you’ll use the van.
3. The base vehicle, bought separately
From around £27,600 used, or £38,340 new after the grant.
The vehicle is invoiced by the VW dealer, not by us. See the ID. Buzz page for vehicle pricing and sourcing.
Your total = conversion + any add-ons + vehicle. As a guide, a Chamonix with the Horizon pop-top on a used Buzz comes to around £57,134 all in.

Compare with the ID. Buzz Mandalay
The Mandalay keeps the same kitchen and build but swaps the slat bed for a rock and roll bed on rails and adds belted rear travelling seats, so it can carry passengers and double as an everyday vehicle. Pick the Chamonix for the more open interior. Pick the Mandalay if you need rear seats or want the van to work as a daily driver.
