Chamonix on the VW Transporter T7
Chamonix is our slat bed layout.
The Chamonix features a double slat bed and elevating pop-top, with a full side kitchen and three belted seats in the front. Without a rock and roll bed in the rear, the layout is more open in day mode, and some customers prefer the simplicity and the view out of the rear doors. Add the pop-top roof bed (included) and it sleeps four.

- Elevating pop-top roof with integrated roof bed (4-berth), colour-coded to your vehicle (pop-top, roof bed and colour coding priced separately)

- Hand-built FSC-certified poplar and birch ply furniture, with a solid wood table and worksurface
- Three-stage Thermafleece natural insulation and full carpet lining
- Commercial-grade vinyl flooring in your choice of finish
- Luxury upholstery in your choice of fabric (recycled options available)
- Gas hob, sink with tap and pump, and a compressor fridge
- 12V system: a 200Ah lithium battery with Victron battery-to-battery and mains charging, and a 240V hook-up
- Flexi and spot LED lighting, USB, USB-C and 3-pin sockets, and a small 300W inverter for laptop power
- Thermal blackout curtains and a privacy curtain

This is a complete campervan, ready to camp: the pop-top with its integrated roof bed, the extendable bench and double slat bed, the full side kitchen, a 200Ah lithium system with Victron charging, and thermal blackout curtains are all built in. Everything listed under What’s included comes as standard. A Premium Reimo roof can be added, as on the Mandalay.

4. The base vehicle, bought separately
Bought in your choice of drivetrain (electric, hybrid or diesel) and badge. From around £31,000 for a diesel, or around £32,400 used for the electric eTransporter. The vehicle is invoiced by the dealer, not by us. See the Transporter T7 page for the drivetrain comparison and sourcing.
Your total = conversion + any extras + vehicle. Off-grid heating, solar and extra windows are added from the list above, and the base vehicle is separate.

Compare with the Transporter T7 Mandalay
The Mandalay adds a crash-tested rock and roll bed on rails and two belted rear seats, giving up to five belted travelling seats and the flexibility to carry passengers. Pick the Chamonix for the simpler, more open layout. Pick the Mandalay if you need rear seats.
